Yesterday was another special day when I was able to personally hand over Bluff, Dupe, Ruse and Spoof to their excited, forever families! It’s always my favorite day in this puppy raising process, although there are many other extra special moments along the journey.
We’ve had the wettest spring I can remember in a long time and yesterday was no exception. It rained the whole two plus hour drive into Spokane. It stopped for a bit after I arrived so I was able to potty the puppies without getting to wet.
I had all the puppy bags, my notes and things set up on the tailgate, all our families had arrived and I was ready to start our “puppy presentation”when it started to rain again. So I quickly gathered up everything and we headed into the hotel lobby. They had tables set up by their breakfast bar which were unoccupied at that time, so we grabbed a couple and got started. (The pups were enjoying brunch in their crate in the truck while we had our meeting).
When our meeting was over and it was time to get the pups out, it was still raining. Thankfully the hotel has a portico in front of the entrance so I was able to pull the truck under there so we could let the pups out in the back of the truck to potty and stretch their legs before everyone headed home.
Spoof now Hudson.
The other three pups are waiting to find out their new names.
Ruse. (Ruse is her family’s second Pinewood Cavapoo! <3)
The drive home switched between sunny blue skies with fluffy white clouds to lightening and more rain!
Enjoying my beautiful bouquet that Dupe’s parents shared from their yard. I love flowers <3
Happy life puppies!
