Well, now that’s Sally’s pups have gone, home little Handsome is wrapping up his last week or so with us and Cami has had her pups, what’s next?
Well, unfortunately I don’t think Sasha is pregnant after all. She was due this week but is showing no signs of a pregnancy. I will ultrasound her again just to be sure. The first ultrasound we did was later then normal because of my first trip south so I either mis-read it or she reabsorbed the litter (weird, but yes, that can happen).
So what do we have planned for later this summer/fall?
Glory and Asher were bred for another litter of purebred Cavaliers. If anyone is interested in a purebred Cavalier puppy please shoot me an email at pinewoodcavapoos@gmail.com Although she is not confirmed pregnant yet as it’s still too soon. And this will be her final litter and then she will enter “couch potato” status in a loving retirement home.
Amber (our light apricot purebred Poodle) will be retiring later this year too. She is mom of Sally. She is a bit more reserved and would do better in a quiet retirement home without kiddos.
We’ve had several girls come in season, one after another! :O Yikes! The poor boys are loosing their minds since all the smells are in the air and the yard.
And now comes the issue of trying to figure out who will be bred to whom and who will be skipped and taking a break.
We have bred Lyric to Asher for an F1 litter. And Sage has been bred to Clancy for an F1b litter. Of course we won’t be able to confirm either pregnancy for at least a month.
When we have more news we’ll be sure to share it here on the blog.
Also for those of you wondering when our waiting list will reopen. We still have a lot of names on our list. About one third are repeat adopters who asked to be put back on for a second puppy although most are not quite ready yet. The other two-thirds of the list have not been very active reaching out with our past few litters. So as much as I’d like to take more names that are “ready for a puppy!”, I don’t want to make the list unmanageably long. But since most people on the list aren’t reaching out when we announce new litters, if you’re interested in a puppy and not on our waiting list, please sign up for email notifications from the blog/website and keep up on the news.
As we have done for a few of the past litters this year, if not enough people from the waiting reach out about upcoming puppies and we end up with “leftover” puppies on each litter’s puppy matching day, we will make an announcement on the blog. Those puppies will then be offered to the general public! So there is a chance for those who have been waiting to get on the list to possibly get a puppy this year from us.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and follow along!
Sage/Clancy puppies from previous litters <3
I would love to be on the Cavalier list or cavapoo. My only request is that it be a girl on the small side. Could you please send me the info so I may sign up and send in my deposit?
Thank you,
Denise
PS I read everyone of your posts and enjoy them, especially the names that you choose and the darling little pictures.
