Apples and puppies

Today was the day. Hubby decided he was going to make applesauce. He has never made applesauce by himself before, so he asked me to tell him what to do. And well, I ended up helping because it’s a lot easier with two people because it’s quite a production.

I’ve been canning applesauce for years with the kiddos. We used to buy apples from a local family orchard up the road a ways. With hubby and three boys all applesauce eaters we used to go through quite a bit. We planted some trees years ago, and now that the kids are grown and gone, our two little trees give us plenty of apples.

So today was spent running between doing apples and taking care of puppies and dogs. We had some nice sunny weather today, so I made a few trips outside to let the adults out in the sun and fresh air; first the girls and then the boys.

And the puppies got their first day of the great outdoors. Even though the sun was out it was still chilly so we didn’t stay out for long.

And we played inside too.

And worked on crate training, a barrier challenge with each puppy and some resource guarding preventative training.

It’s been a busy day.

Hope was my taste tester to make sure the apples were okay. She approved! 😉
