As some of you know, I mentioned finding some extra adults fabulous retirement homes and since we have Asher, I decided to let Niko go. Boy, did he land a gold mine! He’s got an amazing home where he is pampered and so loved!
I’ve gotten several updates, just failed to share them. So here’s news on our sweet boy from his new mom! I have gotten from his new mom.
The day after pick-up…
“Hi Jennifer,
Niko was a little stressed on the drive and he threw up a few times (poor baby) but Michael ended up sitting in the back seat with him and he settled down. We got home and had the 2 dogs meet in the front driveway because that’s a neutral place and it couldn’t have gone better. They sniffed and were fast friends! I’m so happy! Here they are sitting for a cookie!
Thanks again! I will keep you posted on his progress! ”

“Hi Jennifer,
Well Niko is settling in better and more quickly than I thought he would! I think he is a lap dog! Haha!
He slept all night in his new crate and didn’t make a peep! He has tried to mark (with his pad on) only a few times, and he hasn’t tried to mount Maggie once! Yay! He’s so sweet and silly! I love his personality! I think he’s the perfect fit for our family!!
I’m so grateful you chose us to be his forever family!! Thanks again!!
I will keep you updated on his progress!!
Talk soon, ”

“I wanted to update you on Niko’s progress and he is definitely a lap dog! He’s made him self at home and is doing amazing! Maggie and him are fast friends and we could not be any happier!! He is such a sweet boy and we are madly in love!!

“Hi Jennifer,
I just wanted to give you a Niko update…he is living his best life!
He is the biggest love bug ever! He went on his first camping trip a few weeks ago and loved it! He loves his sister Maggie and is a wonderful playmate for her!
We’ve been working with a trainer to help him build some confidence and he’s so smart and a quick learner!!
He has been such a wonderful addition to our family any we are totally in love with him!! He is just what I’ve needed in my moments of grief after losing my sister…he totally knows when I’m sad and is my little therapy dog!! Thank you again for raising such an amazing boy!
Love,”

And the most recent update…
“Hi Jennifer,
I hope you are doing well! I just wanted to tell you again how much we absolutely adore Niko!! He is such a funny, sweet boy! We’ve had lots of adventures this summer! He absolutely loves to go camping! We bought some electric bikes and we can tow a dog carrier behind and they both love that too!
He is the perfect addition to our family! We couldn’t have asked for a better dog! We’ve done some training with him and he’s the quickest learner! And so smart! I think he finally feels secure and knows he’s in his forever family!!
Love, The M’s”

That boy has it made! And I’m so thrilled!❤️
“Hello! I just found your email, and you said you wanted a little update on how Indy is doing.
Indy spends a lot of his days sleeping and then getting a random burst of energy at 10 pm. As shown in the last photo, we just celebrated his 5th birthday! Indy has been on so many wonderful adventures, even to other countries! He’s been to Bahamas, Aruba, 9-10 states and countless walks. His only problems are his feet, which get little blisters and sores. Overall, he makes our whole family smile every day and I am so happy to have him!” (from one of the children; so I had to ask mom about the feet?)
And the mom’s response….
Hi Jennifer,
I hope you are doing well! I can’t believe it’s been almost 5 years since we picked up Indy (Marshall)! He is such a wonderful addition to our family. He has a great temperament, is so easy to travel with, and he LOVES kids! We back up to open space so have lots of critters nearby and Indy is obsessed, he has killed many small rodents and is very proud, and every day he and the squirrels torment each other! He does have some skin issues that my son messaged about – but I heard this was pretty common in doodles. I have brought him to the vet about it and it’s definitely seasonal allergies with a bit of anxiety licks. The blister was a one-time thing that I think came from doggie daycare where he goes for a few hours a week. We’ve got booties and creams and meds from the vet. Mostly though he likes to cuddle on the couch, and have us all around while he chews on his bully sticks. He sleeps with and takes care of Tasi, and in turn, Tasi makes sure he too is happy..
Hope you have a wonderful day,”

“Hi Jennifer
I love seeing your pupdates on the other pinewood pups so I thought I’d share a little something about Theo (previously “Pooh” from the Winnie The Pooh litter born Aug 10, 2019 to Clancy and Gracie).
Theo celebrated his 4th birthday yesterday with some quality family time, picked out his birthday present, ran at the dog park, then had some ice cream kibble. He became a big brother (to a human) in 2022, and while that was a big change for him, they really do have a special bond. His little human brother loves giving him kisses and actually “barks” to communicate with him. Over the years Theo has definitely preferred to just be in the company of his favourite humans than playing with other dogs – but he does love saying hi to other dogs when he is out on walks. He can get quite mischievous and naughty, but he is just as loving and sweet as he was the day we brought him home.
Here are some recent photos of Theo! Enjoy 🙂

We took a trip to visit family for a few days and made a special delivery along the way. Precious little Lynx was the perfect, long-distance travel companion. She did so well!
Thank goodness for litter box training. Lynx had breaks in the back of the truck to use the litter box for potty times.
Snuggles
Such a great little traveler!
Munching on her yak cheese
A driving lesson (*wink, wink*) at a rest stop.
And her family was so excited to meet her! They had lost their older dog recently and wanted a new family companion and buddy for their other dog.

Lynx is now Harley.
And, the dad did not know about this special delivery. So mom and daughter met us outside their house while they sent hubby off to get ready “to go out to eat” as a distraction. I asked them to please let me know how the surprise went and later received this text message.
“My husband fell in love with her! He started crying when he saw her.”
And I’m happy to report our last two Aussiedoodle pups; Rabbit and Panther have been matched with very excited families! We’ll share their deliveries later as they’re staying a few more days with us. And while we visited family, my amazing SIL took care of our animal family at home. <3
And a bonus of driving early in the morning, was this beautiful sunrise we got to enjoy🙌
Happy life, Lynx aka Harley!❤️
What a fun reunion!
“Hi Jennifer, Jody came to visit with Amber from Salem so we invited Ginny and Simba over for a play date.”
The two Poodles on the left are our Summer’s brothers! And the Poodle on the right is our retired mom, Amber with her new mom. It was a Pinewood Poodle reunion!

“Jennifer, Pippa, previously Eliza from Allie/Dickens 6 years ago, has been the joy of our lives. We retired right after picking Pippa up from you. She is the sweetest dog we have ever had. she loves walks, riding in the boat, sleeping in bed or on the couch with us. She watches and barks at the tv whenever she sees dogs, cats or horses. She loves when someone comes to visit and gets so excited when our kids or grandkids come to visit. We also have a golf cart which she thinks is the best to ride around the neighborhood. She has a toy that looks like a flying saucer-which squeaks and a ball that talks. She plays with them like they are a soccer ball and has the best time pushing them around the house. Bunnies, squirrels and birds also help keep her in shape when she chases them out of our yard. We love this little girl and couldn’t have asked for anything better to help us enjoy our retirement.
Thank you,”

I still have some updates to share that people have sent to me over the summer. So be prepared for some sweet updates this week!
“Hi Jennifer-
Just thought I would share the two dogs I got from Pinewood.
Louie, who was Joey from Rosie & Clancy( The Friends litter) born Oct 2018 and Penny who was Charity from Smudgie & Sundae( she was the only one in her litter) born May 2020.
These two dogs are the best. They will go and do whatever activity we are doing or they don’t mind just handing out all day. All our neighbors are jealous that we have such well behaved dogs. They are extremely smart. My husband and I have to spell all the time as they know
all the words that have to do with fun or food.
You have raised wonderful dogs. I could go on and on about how great these dogs are.
Thanks Jennifer for raising such wonderful animals.
Here is a picture of them. Louie is the larger dog who weighs 35lbs and Penny is much smaller at 14lbs.”

A few pictures from out day 😀

I forgot I had this pen set up. It was perfect to plop them in while I got their big pen ready.
Zuma stays close to the puppies

All clean and ready for puppies!
“Are you sure I can’t have more cheese, mom?”
Time to feed the horses
Boone is looking better. And had his second massage yesterday.
The is my nosey, into everything, goofy boy.
His nose is very kissable💋

The flowers showing their vibrant colors!
Hi, Zuma! (For those who don’t know, Zuma is Bulgarian LGD (Livestock Guardian Dog) called a Karakachan. But the family and the puppies are her “livestock” to protect.

These are an heirloom tomato called a Spoon Tomato because they are so tiny so can get a whole bunch on a spoon! They take a while to pick, as you can imagine. But they’re bursting with flavor!

A bundle of cuteness coming back inside.
Later at grandma’s house I caught Sally napping on her mom’s lap. ❤️
Aww…another sweet “pupdate”. This adorable girl was Sabrina from our Charlie’s Angels litter.
“Jennifer,
Thank you for raising the best, sweetest, and most confident puppies. Florence has been everything I dreamed of and more. She is so sweet, loves everyone, confident, sassy, makes her needs known, smart, loyal, and just the greatest bundle of love. She loves going to doggy day care when I go to work. She has so many dog friends at daycare. We always get stopped when we are out together because everyone wants to greet her. She loves riding in the car and loves going everywhere. I take her to happy hour, shopping, and everywhere I can. She is so affectionate and loves to cuddle but also loves to play independently and could go on a walk forever.
She is a great hiker too. We went on a few hikes over the summer and she did better than me! She is my little friend and I couldn’t imagine my life without her. She has such a wonderful temperament and sometimes she is too smart and confident for her own good. 😉
Thanks for this special gift.”
